Privacy Policy
Controller: Anespiem Private Limited (UEN 202512394Z), 2 Venture Drive, #19-21 Vision Exchange, Singapore 608526. Privacy and legal requests: [email protected]. Player support: [email protected].
1. Scope
This policy explains how Anespiem Private Limited (“Anespiem”, “we”) handles information when you use Wake Up Cat on Android, iOS, Windows or the Web. Wake Up Cat is an online, server-authoritative puzzle game intended for people at least 13 years old. It does not currently offer user accounts, chat or user-chosen public names.
2. Information we process
- Pseudonymous identifiers: random installation, anonymous and game-session identifiers; an optional playtest code; and a server-generated player name. These identify an installation or session, not your real-world identity.
- Gameplay and leaderboard data: difficulty, moves, scores, tutorial and line completions, game state, replay/action history and the server-generated name shown with a leaderboard score.
- Product and website analytics: session start/end, safe website page paths, the choice to open the Web game, screen and interface events, settings such as language, analytics choice, app version and platform. We do not send a full URL, query string or URL fragment. Optional analytics is retained for no more than 90 days.
- Technical and security data: request time, IP address in limited network/security logs, operating system or browser, app version, connection status, performance, crash/error and service-health events. We do not copy IP addresses into product analytics.
- Messages you choose to send: your email address, message and attachments if you contact support or make a legal request.
- On-device data: settings and opaque session credentials are stored locally so the game can remember choices and resume a session. The server stores a one-way digest rather than the raw resume token.
We do not currently request your real name, contact list, precise location, photos, microphone, advertising ID or payment-card details. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app tracking.
3. Why we process it and your choices
We process necessary game and technical data to deliver and restore the service, calculate server-authoritative results and leaderboards, secure the service, diagnose faults and respond to requests. We use optional product analytics to understand playtests and improve design. Depending on applicable law, this processing is based on providing the service you request, our legitimate operational and security interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
You can switch optional game analytics off in Settings at any time. Website analytics is enabled by default. On the landing page, open Privacy settings in the footer to switch website analytics off or on. Switching it off stops later optional analytics and clears the website analytics identifiers stored by Questmetry. It does not stop the essential session, security and network processing needed to run the online game.
4. Service providers and transfers
We use carefully selected providers only to operate and protect Wake Up Cat, including Hetzner for server hosting, Cloudflare for network delivery and security, and Shorebird for secure in-app delivery of eligible Flutter code fixes. Shorebird patch checks include the app and release version, patch channel and number, platform and processor architecture, plus an anonymous per-app client identifier used for aggregated active-install metrics; Shorebird states that these requests do not contain personally identifiable information. These providers may process limited data on our behalf in countries outside Singapore. We use contractual, organisational and technical measures intended to provide protection comparable to that required by applicable law. We may also disclose information when lawfully required or to protect users and the service.
5. Retention
Optional product analytics is retained for up to 90 days. Game sessions and replays are kept while needed to resume games, validate results, operate a fair leaderboard and investigate faults or abuse, then deleted or de-identified under operational schedules. Network/security logs and backups may remain for a limited additional period before rotation. Support and legal correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the request, security and legal recordkeeping. We may retain a minimal record where law requires it or where needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You may ask about, access or correct personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, request deletion where applicable, or raise a complaint. Because Wake Up Cat has no account and uses pseudonymous identifiers, we may need an optional playtest code and approximate session date/time to locate data; never send a resume token. Use our data request and deletion page or email [email protected]. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
7. Children, security and changes
Wake Up Cat is for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us. We use access controls, encrypted transport, pseudonymous identifiers and restricted credentials, but no Internet service is completely secure.
The current release has no advertising and no paid items. Before enabling advertising, in-app purchases through official app stores, or Xsolla payments on the Web, we will update this policy and store disclosures and provide any notice, consent or controls required by applicable law. Payment providers would process payment credentials under their own policies; Anespiem does not intend to receive full card numbers.
We may update this policy when the service or law changes. Material changes will be signposted in the game, site or store listing as appropriate, and the effective date above will change.
